American Red Cross’ Journey from Xcelsius to Design Studio

In this session, you will learn how the American Red Cross transitioned from a static reporting environment to a highly interactive SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio based BI applications and dashboards.  The transition helped with the user adoption of the SAP BI tools by creating a positive impact among the user community.

Learn about the approach taken by the American Red Cross to migrate their existing Xcelcius dashboards and PDF-based static reports to Design Studio applications and cut down on the manual effort required in generating reports.  The session will also provide insights on how to use SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio with SAP BusinessObjects Universe sources. We will also provide a live demo of the Design Studio applications.

Pushing WEBI to the Limit: Real World Implementation

How do we get meaningful information to people at the correct time for them to process and use that information?  At the University of Utah we have used WEBI to convey data from simple accounting reports to complex statistical reporting with predictive analytics.  Using WEBI’s capabilities as an enterprise-wide reporting tool, we have done everything from embedding reports in our electronic medical record to bursting reports to user’s emails, from building patient-facing progress reports to creating self-service analytics.

Governing a Single Source of Analytics Truth at Crocs

From their SAP go-live in 2015, the BI team at Crocs knew that they wanted to avoid the IT vs. Business divide that plagues many organizations. This session will present some of the key tools and practices used at Crocs to deploy their governed BI & Analytics solution: from go-live & stabilization up to the lofty goal of governed self-service. Come hear how Crocs is able to make better decisions, faster!

Providing IOT analytics with SAP Business Objects

Hear how graphic packaging provides the capability for continuous packing equipment performance reporting. This data enables Graphic Packaging International’s customers to target areas of deficiency and develop corrective action that is sustainable over extended periods of time. The analytics will help reduce equipment downtime and increase efficiency. In this presentation I will share how we succeeded in our analytical program.

How to Make SAP BusinessObjects Make Coffee – Delivering Engaging Analytical Apps with Bespoke Visualization

Real-time simulation, value driver trees, interactive dashboard widgets, network diagrams, you name it. In the era of Apps, there is more to the analytical user experience than a collection of static bar charts. Users expect Apps with bespoke visualizations offering real insight that works equally well on phones, tablets and desktops. All this while being responsive and delivered at reduced timelines and budgets.

Delivering engaging Analytical Apps and interactive dashboards that users love offers great value creation opportunities for existing as well as new BI investments. Such projects have however often disappointed by not meeting users expectations or performing poorly.

The great news is that with the right approach and mindset, you can deliver high performance Analytical Apps with any visualization you can imagine using the BusinessObjects tools that you probably already have and with less effort than you probably imagined. BusinessObjects still can’t make you a coffee but apart from that, there isn’t much you can’t do.

Best Practices for Making Gorgeous Stories with SAP BusinessObjects Cloud

If you’re into data visualization and want to gain a deep understanding of what’s possible with SAP BusinessObjects Cloud, then this session is for you. Join SAP’s Data Visualization Product Manager for a highly interactive session as we share visualization best practices and then take your input to transform a truly awful report into a well-designed, pixel-perfect, interactive story using SAP BusinessObjects Cloud.
